Understanding Etheric Cords
Etheric cords are an extension of our energy bodies.
They are invisible strands of energy that that connect us to the world.
How do etheric cords work?
Etheric cords are invisible—yet very genuine—lines of energy and communication that connect us to people, places, and things. Energy can ebb and flow through these links. These strands, cords, filaments, threads, and strings that connect us to the world around us can be thin and transient, or they can flow like a vast river, and they can even come from our past and exist over lifetimes.
Etheric cords are formed in the normal course of interaction with others. When we connect with another person we activate an energetic cord with them, commonly referred to as cording, which extends out of your energy body and connects with another person's energy body. You can cord whatever you interact with, you can have cords with another person, places, animals, events, objects and even past lives. As with everything in the energy body, etheric cords are dynamic they are not stagnant and are not necessarily permanent.
Energy strands are not just the etheric and astral cords of connection between people, events, places and objects; they also serve as a pathway for subconsciously sending and receiving energy and information to and from the people, places, events and objects around us. Etheric cord connections get created when we focus on something. You will naturally have strong cords with people you love and know well. The more time you spend with them, the stronger the cords will become, thus they appear strong, thick, and bright. Talking to strangers in the streets also creates etheric cords, in this case, the cord is thin and weak and will disappear quickly.
Most people are completely unaware of the effect energy cords have on their life and well-being. It is beneficial for us to nurture the loving etheric bonds, but it can become damaging for us to maintain the negative ones. When the cord is healthy, it can create a vibrant, energetic exchange but when the cord is unhealthy, it can often lead to feeling controlled or drained in energy.
What are Negative Etheric Cords?
Negative etheric cords are non-serving, which means they do not support or strengthen you. When a cord is filled with negative energy it becomes toxic and we feel it through the emotions of anger, resentment, inability to forgive (negative emotions often create a stronger pull than positive ones). When an energetic connection is not supportive, it may cause energetic issues lowering the energy vibrations of an individual. A negative etheric connection can weigh a person down and hold them back resulting in adverse energetic outcomes. Removing the cord can help you recharge your energy, feel a sense of peace, can help you let go and bring about new, positive opportunities.
Etheric cords sound like a huge deal but they can be very simple. For our health and well-being clearing negative etheric cords regularly is essential. This is important to protect our health and happiness.
